UZMAR signed Contract with KOC for RAmpage 6000


UZMAR had another exciting order from Kuwait Oil Company this week; Mr. Mutlu Altuğ, Vice General Manager of UZMAR and Mr. Mohammad Al-Zoubi, Depury CEO & Manager Gas Operation’s Group of Kuwait Oil Company signed the contract in KOC’s main office in Ahmedi, Kuwait on 03.03.2019, for the Robert Allan design RAmpage 6000, a 60 m LOA “Multi-Purpose/Oil Spill Recovery Vessel”.

RAmpage 6000 will be the largest Robert Allan design ever been built in Turkey and will be especially utilized for containment, recovery, storage and transferring of recovered oil from oil spills.

The vessel will be designed and constructed as a modern double Azimuth Stern Drive (ASD) system driven by two medium speed engines. She will be completely outfitted and equipped to undertake operations such as oil spill response duties, oil spill containment and recovery, area surveillance, offshore fire fighting, back flushing capabilities, logistics supply duties, towing services, other offshore services, rescue operations and other related duties in the area around state of Kuwait and international waters.

RAmpage 6000 will have Dynamic Positioning capability with DP (AM) notation from Lloyd’s Register Class.

Both parties are eagerly waiting for the steel cutting which will be in May 2019.
